An 11-year-old boy from a village in Uttar Pradesh’s Agra allegedly raped a six-year-old girl on Saturday evening. The minor accused, who is a Class 4 student, has been apprehended by the police. The victim was admitted to a local hospital, and her condition is reported to be critical. In order to prevent any further disturbances, the police have deployed sufficient personnel in the village, as the accused and the victim come from different communities.
The police at the hospital were unable to document the girl’s statement. According to the First Information Report (FIR) filed by the girl’s father at the local police station, she had left for her tuition classes at approximately 5.30 pm on Saturday. It was during this time that the boy persuaded her to go with him to a secluded location and committed the act of rape.
Upon arriving home at approximately 7:30 pm, she was found to be bleeding and managed to recount the incident to us. She is acquainted with the perpetrator. Subsequently, we promptly took her to the hospital and then proceeded to the boy’s residence, where we handed him over to the authorities,” stated the father in the FIR. DCP Sukanya Sharma announced on Monday that a case has been filed. “The victim’s condition remains critical. The accused is currently in police custody and will be presented before the juvenile court. The victim’s medical examination has confirmed the occurrence of rape. The accused has been charged under multiple sections, including the POCSO Act. Following the court appearance, he will be transferred to a juvenile facility,” the DCP explained.
