The ICC men’s rankings have been updated, and Australia has replaced India as the No. 1 Test team. While India remain the top team in ODIs and T20Is, Scotland has surpassed Zimbabwe to become the 12th-best team in T20Is.
As matches played after May 2021 are taken into account for the ranking in this cycle, India’s 2-1 series win in Australia in December 2020-January 2021 has been dropped. Results between May 2021 and May 2023 are weighted 50%, while those between May 2023 and May 2024 are weighted 100%.
In addition to winning the World Test Championship last year, Australia now has 124 rating points, while India has 118 rating points, while England has 105 rating points. In November, both India and Australia will play in the format for the first time, in Perth.
India is at the top of the ODI rankings with 122 points, six points ahead of Australia (116). South Africa is in third place, four points behind Australia. Pakistan (106) and New Zealand (101) round out the top five.
